Eat, Drink and be Merry

This year we celebrated Christmas on Christmas eve with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. I was the chef for our lunch date and made lasagna and garlic bread. My nephew is just over 2 and he is a busy one. He opened his presents and immediately wanted to play with them and spread them out all over the house. Caught up with my brother and sister-in-law, saw ultrasounds pics of the little one and then they were off. For Christmas day we are doing the present thing in the morning, having an open house for friends to stop by and have a drink and some nibblies and the Christmas dinner at the Vaughan's two doors down. Sounds like I will be eating and drinking all day.... get out the joggers with the elastic band :)

Merry Ho Ho....

Where has the past week gone? I was done all shopping and wrapping gifts weeks ago, but somehow managed to do nothing but last minute errands this week. With the last batch of cookies to be finished tomorrow I'm feeling better.
Last night was the evening of parties... 1. a neighbour down the street throws FABULOUS parties in his newly build modern home - from bathtubs filled and lined with rose petals and candles to wait staff mixing Cosmos and martinis galore. The main comment heard from around "... his parties are always the best and the men are all so good looking. Why do they all have to be gay?!?" Dragging myself away and wisked downtown via cab I arrive at party #2.

Tower girl at the tower?!? Great... two of my fav tower people were working that night, but that didn't stop the reunion and festivities! Reminicing with old co-workers (sanjeeee) and finding out what everyone has been up to lasted all evening. The alcohol was flowing and flowing and flowing, the tunes were spinning and keeping everyone moving and all of a sudden last call at the bar! What? It's 11pm!! Don't fret - in grand old tradition the party doesn't stop... off to Menage for the after party!

#3. So off to the club which has turned into the meeting spot of Tower Genarations. Again the music was great, the company fantastic - let the shots begin! Me and Tim-o-tei were going through alcohol like it was going out of style. We were missing one thing... miss ex.323. She was stuck in the clean up and re-setting but arrived at 1am and oh did we party. Good thing about being unemployed is that I don't have to get up at any specific time.... my amigos, however, were braving it all as they had to work the next morning just after 8am! So the day after hasn't been my best, but it was worth it and can't wait for next year!

After a greasy late lunch to fix my ailments I am meeting up with Laurie and Tim for our Christmas. Will be a good CALM evening with movies and chatting....

What a nice surprise waking up this morning, checking my email and finding a nice email from one of the Kitchener "Crew" girls announcing her engagement to a great guy. Congrats to you both and see you on the 27th!

Preggers....

"Surprise we're pregnant and we're due in June"..... HAH relax it's not me. I'm going to be an Aunt for the second time :) My brother and his wife are expecting again and they couldn't be happier. As for my newphew... he'll have to get used to it. He'll be 2 1/2 once the new one is born so I'm sure jealous rages are a part of my brother's future. (hehehehe). I also have an announcement to make.... I have a new child... for those of you who know me that is what I call my cell phone. My old one has been retired after missing texts and constantly crackly phone calls. Why this may interest you? I have a new number. Goodbye telus and hello rogers. My old number will be up and running for a couple more days until I get all my info off of it but please check your emails for the new digits.

Saturday night and nothing to do! Well that was until my great friend from Ajax phoned... now we will catch up over a yummy burger from licks' and continue to starbucks. mmmmm can't wait.

What did we do before it?

The plan was to get to sleep before 2am but that was quickly done away with once i went to www.ebay.ca . Oh how I just can't believe the amount of stuff on there... you want it - it will be found there. Who would have thought I could get a pair of Hush Puppy boots for $14.99. Now I am on the hunt for a new cell phone. One drunkin' night out at Crock with the boys and I manage to pull my phone out of my purse and the antenna is gone! Just gone... now I have to deal with missed texts, texts not sending and when people phone it becomes a guessing game as to what they are saying! But oh how new phones are soooo pretty! And what's the deal with telus??? No SIM cards? Come on now get up with the times. Suffice to say in the near future you will get an annoying email from me regarding yet another new number.

After many discussions with my road trip gal and former roomie (sniff sniff) I have decided to spark my creative side and attempt to collect my thoughts and stay in touch with my favourite people of the world. Since constant travel has become a part of my life, my family & friends can now see where I am and what I'm up to with one quick click on their "Favorites" - oh how I strive to be loved!
