Summer in the city

Enjoying the first "hot" weekend this spring in ottawa i surprised mike after his shift on saturday. We went for a great walk along the canal to dows lake and partook in some bevies and food. The best part was the beautiful sunset on the way home. The base tan is set... now can someone please bring on Barcelona & Paris???

Wishing everyone a great holiday weekend! Most of all I hope the easter bunny is good to you and leaves you lots of delicious little eggs! I have already had my fare share of easter treats - afterall they arrived in stores in full force over a month ago! Ever so conveniently placed right by the checkout one can't resist. May I recomment the Caramilk Cream Egg??

Since I've had my fare share of chocolate I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend because Mike is coming to Toronto! Since I am still here and should be leaving late next week (according to a Montreal immigration advisor) why not?!?

4 weeks and counting

Over the past few weeks I have had it in mind that I am leaving the country for a while so I have been getting up to date with my favourite people in the GTA . This morning (YES AM) I was off to the park with my little nephew Colin. My mom and I took him for a fun morning in the park on what we thought was going to be a beautiful day. Turned out to be about 3 degrees, windy and no sun! Freezing while pushing swings, sliding on slides and playing in the sand box! I always forget how busy little ones are and it certainly brings the importance of birth control to the forefront of my mind! We had a great morning and ended it with lunch and a nice HOT tea!

I am really looking forward to tomorrow - Cookie and I are meeting up for a good ol' "Tour Brunch". As my tour buds know I am a sucker for Eggs benedict and bacon so I am literally counting down the hours! ...mmm I can taste it already! Like me, Cookie is heading back on tour and we can say at the least she is elated. I do wish that she was heading to the 2007 tour for selfish reasons, but am so happy that she has found a new adventure and challenge. I will miss this gal more than she knows and I am looking forward to meeting up with he while in the US and of course having a little reunion with Morrie... Bonne chance Cookie!
